Texas A&M has reached out to former Arizona State WR Elijhah Badger

It's no secret if you paid attention to our recent report that Texas A&M is still looking for more wide receiver talent in the transfer portal. Several high-profile veteran pass catchers are still looking for a new home before the 2024 season.

After waiving KeAndre Lambert-Smith (transferred to Auburn) and Sam Brown (transferred to Miami), A&M hosts former Auburn wide receiver Ja'Varrius Johnson this weekend, so head coach Mike Elko and at least some His employees are making progress.

Late last month, after former Arizona State WR Elijhah Badger entered the portal, 247Sport's Chris Karpman reported that Texas A&M appeared to be in the running for Badger's talent. Since Friday, Badger himself has released every program that has contacted him, including the Aggies.

A big target in the passing game, Badger was the most reliable receiver of any quarterback under center for the Sun Devils, recording 135 receptions and more than 1,500 receiving yards in his final two seasons in Tucson.

With players like Noah Thomas and Moose Muhammad III, who have similar skillsets to Badger, already on the Texas A&M roster, his potential move would put this offense at the forefront and give starting quarterback Conner Weigman a huge confidence boost heading into fall camp .
