CT State Police Arrest Man Allegedly Found With Gun, Drugs

A New Haven man arrested Thursday was allegedly found with a gun equipped with a trigger switch for automatic firing, a high-capacity magazine and several types of drugs.

Quezon Ableek Jones, 26, is charged with selling a narcotic, illegally altering firearm markings, illegally possessing weapons in a motor vehicle, using a machine gun, illegally selling or purchasing a large capacity magazine and interfering with a magazine after According to Connecticut State Police, the case is one officer and one count of criminal possession of a firearm.

State police said multiple agencies searched Jones and his vehicle before his arrest and allegedly found a 9mm handgun, a 30-round magazine, about 18 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of fentanyl and $463, as well as marijuana and packaging Materials. State police said authorities had a search warrant for Jones based on an investigation that led them to believe he was distributing narcotics.

Following his arrest, Jones was held on $1 million bail and was expected to appear before a judge on Friday.
