LAPWAI – Nimiipuu Health, in collaboration with the Idaho National Guard, is proud to announce that they will be conducting Innovative Readiness Training (“IRT”) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to provide essential medical services to the community at no cost May 13-17, 2024. The event will take place in the towns of Lapwai and Kamiah on the Nez Perce Reservation and is open to everyone. Service hours are designed to ensure access for individuals with varying schedules and there is no need to schedule an appointment for an individual to receive the care they need.

During the IRT, Nimiipuu Health and the National Guard will set up medical facilities at Lapwai Primary School from May 13 to 17 and at Kamiah High School on May 13 and 14. The Lapwai site will provide medical and dental services, while the Kamiah site will only provide medical services. Individuals in need of dental assistance are encouraged to visit the Lapwai Elementary School location for comprehensive assistance. On May 14, Lapwai High School will also offer sports physicals and vaccinations.

“We are pleased to once again partner with the Idaho National Guard to expand Nimiipuu Health’s reach and provide critical medical services to those in need,” said Dr. Hartwig, medical director of Nimiipuu Health. “This collaboration represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of our community members.”
