$4,000 reward offered for wanted sex offender in North Texas – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The reward for Marcos Christopher Alonzo, a 10th most wanted sex offender in Texas and a fugitive profiled in March, has been increased to $4,000 for information leading to his arrest if the tip is received before the end of May.

Alonzo, 46, is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, he has been wanted since February 2023, when he fled from his last known address in Hutchins.

Alonzo was convicted of assault, family injury and obstruction/retaliation in 2002 and served a total of five years in prison for both crimes.

In 2005, Alonzo was sentenced to an additional five years in prison for indecent treatment of a child following an incident with a five-year-old girl.

The Texas DPS said in 2011 that Alonzo was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender and subsequently sentenced to three years in prison.

Crime Stoppers describe Alonzo as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds. He has tattoos on his head, neck, chest, arms and hands, as well as scars on his left hand, left knee and forearm.

Alonzo is considered armed and dangerous and authorities advise against approaching him.
