A popular New Jersey restaurant recently landed on the list of the best brunch spots in the United States.

Tops Diner in East Newark has secured a spot on OpenTable's annual list of the 100 Best Brunch Restaurants for 2024.

OpenTable examined over 14 million restaurant reviews to compile the list, which was released on April 30.

Tops Diner was the only restaurant in the Garden State to earn a spot on the list.

The iconic diner serves everything from pancakes, waffles and French toast to sandwiches, steaks, burgers, pasta, baked goods, cocktails and more.

Tops Diner, which first opened in 1942, underwent a major renovation in 2021, making it three times larger and flashier. Following renovations, the restaurant now features a barista station, an 18-seat bar serving alcohol, new booths, a snack entrance, a large-screen television and an ice cream counter.

New Jersey, the diner capital of the world, is home to more than 500 diners, according to Explore's 2023 report.

Restaurants in Pennsylvania and New York also landed on the list. Seven locations in New York and four locations in Pennsylvania landed on the list.
