Hornets hire Lamar Skeeter as top assistant coach

New Charlotte Hornets head coach Charles Lee has begun assembling his coaching staff and has reportedly hired his top assistant. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hornets are hiring Utah Jazz assistant Lamar Skeeter to lead Lee's staff.

Skeeter has been with the Jazz organization since 2016, when he worked as an assistant in player development. Before his long tenure in Utah, Skeeter was an assistant with the then-D-League Canton Charge before joining Mike Budenholzer's staff in Atlanta.

Although Lee doesn't have any direct ties to Skeeter, Hornets GM Jeff Peterson does, having only been with the Hawks organization for a short time.
