Trump gets angry in New Jersey when he calls Biden a total idiot and calls Attorney Bragg “fat Alvin.”

Donald Trump lashed out at his political enemies during a campaign rally at the Jersey Shore on Saturday, calling President Joe Biden a “total idiot” and coining a derogatory new nickname for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg – “Fat Alvin.”

After spending much of the past month in a Manhattan courtroom for his hush-money criminal trial, the former president wasted no time in once again railing against the unfairness of the case, which he said was a “Biden show trial.” There is no evidence that Mr. Biden was involved in the case.

Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, appeared in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday evening before an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 supporters.

Throughout the day, crowds of MAGA fans had gathered on the beach and boardwalk wearing Trump masks and American flag-themed outfits. Some more enthusiastic supporters slept in tents on the beach for several days to secure front-row seats for the event.

Although his speech was littered with his usual criticism and made foul-mouthed remarks at points, Mr. Trump also took wild turns, calling the fictional character, the cannibal Hannibal Lecter, “a wonderful man” and claiming that his rallies were bigger Crowds drew as Bruce Springsteen concerts.

After initially promising to “expand the political map” and win the long Democratic-controlled state of New Jersey, the former president turned his attention to President Biden.

“You could add up the ten worst presidents in the history of our country … and they didn't do the damage to our country that this total idiot did,” Trump said. “He is a fool, he is not a wise man. He never was.”

His comments came after Mr Biden joked on Friday that he wished Mr Trump had injected himself with some bleach – referencing the former president's claims that disinfectants would be an effective treatment for Covid-19 in the early days of the pandemic could.

Barring a serious mishap, the two men are expected to be formally nominated by their respective parties this summer before facing off against each other in November's general election.

On Saturday, Mr. Trump's rhetoric got even worse as he attacked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor overseeing his hush-money trial, and Judge Juan Merchan.

“I will be forced to endure a Biden show trial, all run by Biden,” Trump said. “Performed by [the] Radical Democrat District Attorney…do you know who he is? Fat Alvin, corrupt guy.”

He also described his multiple accusations as a “b****” and once claimed: “I was accused four times in three seconds.”

Mr. Trump called Judge Merchan, who had threatened to throw him in prison for numerous violations of a gag order, “highly inconsistent.”

Merchan issued an order banning Mr. Trump from insulting witnesses, jurors, prosecutors, court staff and the judge's family. However, it does not prohibit him from insulting Judge Merchan or Mr. Bragg. Mr. Trump has already been fined a total of $10,000 for 10 different violations of the gag order.

The former president faces 34 charges of falsifying business records in connection with alleged $130,000 hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair in 2006. He has denied the allegations.

Mr Trump is expected to return to New York court on Monday, where his former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen is expected to take the stand.
