Hulu's new Columbus-based reality series “Royal Rules of Ohio” offers a glimpse into both lavish Columbus life and Ghanaian culture (as well as sneaking into Columbus' famous bars to keep the vigilant to escape the eyes of the family).

Viewers who tuned in or streamed Wednesday's debut episode got a glimpse into the realities of three self-proclaimed “Ohio hotties.” The cast of the first season includes sisters Thlema Agyekum, Nana Agyekum, Brenda Agyekum as well as parents Akili Bobo Agyekum, Delali Agyekum and others.

Presented by the youngest sister, 23-year-old Brenda, the audience learns the first rules to behave like a king.

Rule number one: Never let your crown tip.

The episode begins with the youngest sister, 23-year-old Brenda, at her graduation party, where she is given a BMW and insulted for drinking alcohol in front of her elders.

In the 20-minute episode, the viewer can quickly get used to the sibling dynamics of the sisters. The eldest is seen as a role model, the middle one stays under the radar and the youngest is seen as the most outspoken and uncompromising sister.

What role does Columbus play in the first episode of “Royal Rules of Ohio”?

Images of the Columbus metropolis skyline fill the scene in which the sisters escape their family to a secret afterparty at the Cave Bar and Lounge.

The episode ends with a baby naming ceremony or “abadinto,” which is traditional in Ghanaian culture. Audiences can expect the following episode to pick up from this event as the drama begins to unfold.

Episodes will air every Wednesday on Hulu through June 26th.
