UPDATE: Mikkola and Barkov are both “good” after Game 6.

BOSTON – The Florida Panthers paid the price in their physical series against the Boston Bruins.

But when they reach the Eastern Conference Finals, everyone seems to be in one piece.

Captain Aleksander Barkov and defenseman Niko Mikkola are both in good shape after being hit late in Friday's decisive Game 6 win at TD Garden.

Barkov briefly left the game after making a game-saving block with his left hand during the penalty shootout, but returned in time to see Gustav Forsling secure the 2-1 victory with 1:33 left.

“I feel great,” Barkov said, adding that his glove absorbed most of the shot.

Mikkola (undisclosed) completed his final shift 2:52 before the end of the regular season and did not return.

“He’s fine,” head coach Paul Maurice said of the hulking blueliner.

Both players will play a key role in defeating the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference finals, which begin with Game 1 at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.

Barkov ranks second on the Panthers in playoff scoring with 13 points (five goals, eight assists), but also leads the NHL with 18 takeaways and won 56.3% of his faceoffs.

Mikkola now ranks second among Florida defensemen in hits (35) and blocks (17).

Stay tuned for more updates leading up to Game 1 in the Big Apple.
