(NBC, KYMA/KECY) – A trip to Paris is an experience of a lifetime, but last week thousands of people traveled to the City of Light for one person: Taylor Swift.

They included Telemundo 20 San Diego executive producer Kathia Lopez-Santos and her daughter Julissa, and now Julissa says she will never forget her Eras Tour experience in Paris.

Nine-year-old Julissa Vargas got the surprise of her life when she attended the first night of the Eras Tour in Paris last week, and she shares what it was like to be hugged by Taylor Swift.

“I don't know. It was great. It was, I don't know, it was one of the best moments of my life. And she gave me a high five with both hands,” Julissa shared.

Original plan

But a hug from a world-famous pop icon wasn't on the agenda. The original plan: A trip to Paris with her parents Kathia and Eddie and the chance to see Taylor Swift as she kicked off the European leg of her Eras tour.

“I always wanted to be in Paris. This is my favorite place,” Julissa said.

After a long flight and a night of sleep, it was already time to get ready for Swift!

“It was like a black dress with pearls. And I was dressed.” [with the] “Reputation” theme because that’s my favorite album [out of] everything,” Julissa explained.

A unique experience

As Kathia and Julissa made their way through the crowd, they found their place on the arena floor.

“Everyone was there to dance and the worst part was that they were the biggest people,” Julissa added.

So they didn't have the best view, but that didn't matter.

“I was fine. “Honestly, I just wanted to hear the music that came out of her mouth, like I was hearing actual words in the actual moment,” Julissa said.

But someone had their eye on Julissa, which meant her experience was about to be unique.

“I thought she was leading me to the exit until she stopped in front of the stage and the guy asked, 'Can I pick you up?' and I said, 'Yes!' And then I finally realized what was going on,” Julissa further shared.

The moment that all Swifties dream of, but that only *one* gets to experience, when Swift sings her song “22”.

Then Swift hops down the stage runway on her Eras Tour and there's always someone waiting for her at the end of the stage. Who was that someone in Paris Night 1?

“I…I could only hear the part where she says, 'Can I hug you?' and she also said, 'Thank you for coming,'” Julissa further added.

A hug and the award of the coveted “22” hat, which Julissa said Swift signed on the inside.

Envy of Swifties everywhere

It's a night Julissa will never forget. Julissa says: “I still can’t believe this actually happened to me.”

She's still singing along days after the concert, but you wouldn't simply call Julissa a Taylor Swift superfan. Swifties all over the world envy her.

“I am the luckiest girl in the world. And I think they’re right,” Julissa continued.

Julissa *didn't* have to return to her obstructed view seat after meeting Swift. Instead, she was invited to a VIP area, where she says she had the “best view” to watch the rest of the show.
