FSU Baseball will face Georgia Tech, Virginia to open the ACC Tournament

FSU cannot afford to be on the losing side of the ACC Baseball Championship. Hosting the NCAA Regionals is at stake.

The ACC Baseball Championship schedule was officially announced Sunday morning.

The conference tournament begins on Tuesday. Florida State will be the fifth seed and play in Pool D with No. 9 Georgia Tech and No. 4 Virginia.

The Seminoles open pool play on Tuesday at 3 p.m. against the Yellow Jackets and on Friday at 11 a.m. against the Cavaliers

The Seminoles defeated the Yellow Jackets in two of the last three games of the season finale. FSU finished the regular season with a record of 39-12 (17-12 in ACC) and fourth place in the ACC standings.

The ACC Tournament will take place at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Hosting the NCAA Regionals is at stake for FSU baseball

Losing is not an option for the Seminoles.

While FSU will focus on winning its ninth ACC title, the real prize is hosting an NCAA regional baseball tournament. FSU has not hosted a regional championship since 2018.

Warren Nolan's Baseball has FSU ranked 8th in RPI and playing at the 30th strength of schedule. The Seminoles are 7-7 against Quad 1 opponents, 6-5 against Quad 2, 11-1 against Quad 3 and 15-1 in Quad 4.

Where is FSU projected in a simulated NCAA tournament?

In baseball in America, the Seminoles placed seventh in their simulated NCAA Tournament, narrowly failing to host the Regionals and Super Regionals.

D1 Baseball FSU finished ninth. Enough to host Regional, but missed out on Super Regional. There is also an FSU pairing with Wake Forest, which is one spot ahead of FSU.
