Patricia H. Slattery, 88, of Warren, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024.

Pat was born March 12, 1936 in Emporium, PA. She was the daughter of M. Avanel Hall. She has lived in Warren since 1957 and previously lived in Emporium and Clearfield, PA. She graduated from Emporium High School and Clearfield Nursing School in 1954 and earned her nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati. She was employed at Warren State Hospital for 30 years and retired on September 18, 1998. She then worked part-time for insurance companies, performing medical examinations and blood tests.

Pat was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Alaskan Children's Circle, Yarn Angel Group, and PARSE – at the state level and in the local office, where she served as regional vice president for eight years. She was also a member of the PNA-Pennsylvania Nurses Association, where she served as a local representative and member of the Executive Board of Directors. She was a member of AARP, Warren Swim Team Boosters, Warren Music Boosters, Warren Antique Study Club where she was Poet Laureate, Scouting programs, Breast for Life program, member of the Board of Directors of the Department of Human Services and volunteered with the Warren Co. Department of Assistance. Pat was an avid reader who enjoyed needlework, cross stitch, crochet, quilting and knitting.

She is survived by her three children – Susan K. Slattery and her husband Kevin of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., William Slattery of Butler, Pa., Gwen E. Slattery-Savych and husband, Bogdan of Cambridge, Mass., brother-in-law, Margate, Fla., 3 granddaughters – Amanda L. Slattery of Warren, Pa., Jenna N . Gottlieb Palm Coast, Fla., Solomiya P. Savych of Cambridge, Mass., 2 great-grandchildren – Aleksander J. Slattery, Dominic Gottlieb.

In addition to her mother, her sister Linda Rae Nipp also predeceased her.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. come round

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Avenue East, Warren, PA. at 11 a.m. with Pastor William Beatty officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA.
