Edible Gardens completes Phase 2 of packhouse at Belvidere facility

Edible Garden has completed Phase 2 of the packhouse expansion at Edible Garden’s greenhouse facility in Belvidere, New Jersey.

Jim Kras, CEO of Edible Garden, commented, “I am pleased to report that Edible Garden has successfully completed the second phase of our packhouse expansion at our premier greenhouse in Belvidere, New Jersey. With the introduction of new processing and cross-docking facilities, when fully realized, we will be able to optimize our efficiency and capacity, allowing the company to better serve the over 5,000 retail stores in our extensive distribution network. The successful completion of Phase 2 is consistent with our Zero-Waste Inspired® mission and ensures the efficient delivery of fresh, sustainable products.”

“During this phase, we have made significant progress by integrating cutting-edge technologies. These innovations include our patented GreenThumb system, a sophisticated cloud-based platform for managing greenhouse operations and streamlining demand planning. This system is critical to improving our operational efficiency and is expected to significantly increase the facility's production capabilities and, we believe, increase the Company's gross profit margins in the future. The final phase of construction will include integrated refrigeration, warehousing and corporate offices.”
