Calling all filthy animals: The McCallister house from Home Alone just hit the market in Winnetka, Illinois, and you won't believe how different it looks inside!

The Home Alone house in Illinois

When someone mentions the Home Alone house in Winnetka, Illinois, these images automatically come to mind…

I know several people who drive by this iconic Illinois home every Christmas season and take a selfie in front of it, and now we have the chance to live there because the home just came on the market!

This famous Winnetka home still looks essentially the same from the outside, BUT it has undergone a MAJOR transformation since Kevin McCallister fended off those pesky wet bandits in 1990 (and since 2021, when it was converted into a Airbnb Financial support).

Here is a quick video tour of this amazing property…

While the renovations are AMAZING and I definitely want to live here, I can't help but long for a little of that McCallister nostalgia.

Now the big question: How much does it cost?

5.25 million US dollars

Oops!

Is that too much for a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home that's an important piece of film history? Probably not.

Do future owners have to tolerate hundreds of visitors taking selfies in front of their house during the holidays? At least they should!
