Is New Jersey the tailgating capital of the country?

This story isn't about a top 10 list that New Jersey made. It's actually about a top 10 list that we didn't make.

Tailgating Statistics in New Jersey

According to this report, New Jersey is not among the top 10 states with the most tailgating practices in America. This may shock you, but it may have something to do with the way the top 10 was selected.

The rankings were not based on how often we tailgated, but rather on how many tailgating incidents resulted in a violation.

So the fact that we didn't make the list of the top 10 states with the most tailgating events doesn't necessarily mean that we don't tailgate often, it just means that we don't get caught often.

Which state has the most tailgating events?

The state with the most tailgating violations, according to this report, is Idaho, where 33 out of 10,000 drivers were convicted of tailgating.

Experts advise simply avoiding the car that is driving closer to you as quickly as possible to avoid accidents and injuries on our roads.
