Bergen County Players presents “You Make My Frame Shake!” by Luigi Jannuzzi

(ORADELL, NJ) — Players from Bergen County (BCP) ends its second stage season 2023-2024 with a limited performance of the comedy by New Jersey playwright Luigi Jannuzzi You make my body shake! from 31 May to 2 June 2024. Multiple love stories come to life in this play at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, a fast-paced series of comedic love plays and monologues in which statues, paintings and fertility gods emerge from their forms and frames. Mix in famous artists, guardians, curators and a love-seeking tour guide on a special night and you have this comedic hit. In fact, even the artworks speak to the audience!

Luigi Jannuzzi will be leading a conversation after the performance on Saturday, June 1. Born and raised in New Jersey, Jannuzzi specializes in romantic/absurd comedies with serious themes of love, truth, and the need to rise above it all. His one-act plays are a staple of college and community productions and have received critical acclaim in major publications in the U.S. and abroad.

Director David Luke of Wayne is a former president and current chairman of the company's board of directors. He has served as producer, co-producer, assistant producer and has operated sound and lights and been a member of the stage crew on many shows at BCP, including Barbecue, The Play Gone Wrong, From the Screen to the Stage, Getting Away with Murder And Clybourne ParkHis acting credits include roles in The Emperor's New Clothes, View from the Bridge, The Roaring Mouse, Aladdin, Man of La ManchaAnd To disturb the nightingaleand he led the second phase of the BCP, Central Park West.

You make my body shake! features an ensemble cast including Elaine D'Addezio of New Providence, Michael Fleischer of Tenafly, Debbie Zika of Hillsdale, John Kiely of Allendale, Julia Morriss of Allendale, Anthony Ventola of Oradell, Pauline Quinones of Elmsford, NY, James Lugo of Congers, NY, Richard Field of Cliffside Park, Terri Cannon of Westwood, Howard Kerner of Teaneck, Richard Ciero of Oradell and Jennifer Bancks of Suffern, NY.

The production team includes Kathleen Ruland (producer), Joanne Misha (assistant director), Michele Roth (stage manager), Allan Seward (lighting designer), Lynne Lupfer (decoration), Olga Garey and Sandra Conklin (costumes), Tim Larsen (sound designer), Howard Kerner (lighting technician), Andrew Whitney (sound technician), Ian Kenny (projection technician), Daniel Seitz (set designer/construction), Jennifer Bancks and Richard Ciero (props), Richard Frant (photography), Melina Halpin (makeup), Jennifer Bancks, Leon Vaks, Randi Kestin, Ken and Darlene Slezak (crew) and Danny Sherwood (programs).

TICKET AND TIMETABLE INFORMATION:

*All performances are at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, home of the Bergen County Players since 1949. Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

* Tickets for You make my body shake! cost 15 US dollars for all performances and available for purchase online, by phone at 201-261-4200, or at the box office at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell during regular hours. Visa, Master Card, and American Express are accepted.

* Those interested in group sales or benefit theater parties may call (201) 261-4200 (option #6).

* BCP offers seating for patrons with limited mobility who can transfer from a wheelchair. These seats can be purchased by calling the box office at 201-261-4200 and will go on sale to the public two weeks prior to the performance.

* Discounted rush tickets for students under 25 with valid ID are available at the box office for $5 starting 30 minutes prior to showtime. Limit one rush ticket per student ID and cash is the only form of payment accepted.

*Parking is free for guests in the municipal parking lot on Park Avenue, across the street, one-half block north of the theater. Street parking is also available on Kinderkamack Road and on various side streets, all within easy walking distance.
