Georgia LB begins official visits with stop in South Carolina this weekend #Gamecocks – SportsTalkSC

Jaiden Braker

The process of expanding the 2025 recruiting class for Shane Beamer and his team is picking up steam with official visits starting this weekend. One of the targeted candidates looking to be in Columbia is LB Jaiden Braker (6-4 214) from Snellville, GA.

USC defensive ends coach Sterling Lucas visited Braker this spring, giving the Gamecocks a boost when linebackers coach Clayton White brought him to campus to watch a spring workout.

“I was invited to a practice and I couldn't say no because I love SEC ball,” Braker said. “I used to watch a lot of Jadeveon Clowney. So I drove over to see the practice. I talked to the coaches, got to know the staff and walked around. I watched the practice and enjoyed it. I talked to Coach Clayton right afterward and toward the end of practice they offered to go visit him and Coach Beamer. On the way back they texted me and we set up an official visit to get back there right away.”

Braker said he and the coaches have talked too much about what they like about him as a player and what they want to do with him. He expects to be able to address all of that this weekend.

“They haven't said much about it yet. We usually talk about it when we visit,” Braker said. “They like my length and my running ability. Last season I had about 60 tackles. Most of them were solo because I played SAM linebacker and was outside the box. I had two sacks and eight tackles for loss.”

Braker has a busy June schedule ahead of him, and the Gamecocks will get their first chance to keep things moving in their direction.

“They are definitely in my top seven right now,” Braker said. “At the end of all my visits, where I take about six officials with me, I will come to a decision on which school I will choose. But they are definitely in the top schools.”

After the USC visit, Braker has planned visits to Rutgers, Utah, NC State and Kentucky. He also wants to visit USF. He plans to make his decision in July.
