Remarkable: The Sun (6-0) remain the only undefeated team in the WNBA and have the franchise's longest winning streak to start a season. However, they firmly believe they haven't played their best basketball yet. “We're still working on a lot of issues, lineups and minute limitations,” the Sun's Thomas said. “We have a lot of room to continue to improve. … To start like this when we weren't even nominated for the playoffs speaks volumes about the type of players we have. We know it's a long season, so it's not a time to rest or build on it, just keep going like we've been doing.” … The Sun beat the Phoenix Mercury 70-47 on Monday, holding their opponents to their worst single-game shooting percentage in franchise history (15 of 63, .238). The Mercury hit 1 of 27 three-pointers (3.7%) and were 41 points below their season average. … Connecticut's last meeting with Dallas was Aug. 18, 2023, a 95-75 win for Dallas at the Mohegan Sun. The teams split their regular-season series a year ago at two games apiece. … The Wings (3-2), in the midst of a five-game road trip, are coming off an 84-83 win over Los Angeles on Sunday. Ogunbowale, the league's leading scorer, led Dallas with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists. … UConn graduate Lou Lopez-Senechal, who is making her WNBA debut this season after sitting out last year with an injury, has played sparingly in four games for Dallas, which was missing Satou Sabally (shoulder), Jaelyn Brown (illness) and Natasha Howard (foot) for the game against the Sparks.
