Let's check out FanDuel Sportsbook's odds around the Diamondbacks vs. Padres opportunities and place your best bets with our expert MLB tips and predictions.

Season series: Padres lead 4-2

The Diamondbacks won the series opener 4-3 on Thursday, but the Padres have been poor hosts the last two days. San Diego won 10-3 on Friday and 13-1 on Saturday, making them the favorite to reach the over score both days.

Despite the two devastating losses, Arizona is still a respectable 5-3 in its last eight games and has won the Over title with a 7-2 record in its previous nine games.

The 23 runs scored over the last 2 days are the most runs the Padres have scored in consecutive games this season. The 2 wins come after a 5-game losing streak in which the team averaged just 2.2 runs per game (RPG) and scored on the under in every game.

Tips and predictions for the Diamondbacks at the Padres

Padres 8, Diamondbacks 3

Money line

The PADRAS (-130) are a good play behind the rookie Mazur, who is making his home debut at Petco Park. He had a solid outing against the Angels in his first taste of the majors last time out.

The Diamondbacks (+110) counter with McGough, who was a disaster as a relief pitcher, serving as the opener and handing the ball off to the Arizona bullpen, which has also been inconsistent, allowing 27 home runs with a 4.48 ERA, the sixth-worst in the major leagues.

Running Line/Against the Spread

It is difficult to trust a rookie who is only making his second start in the Major League, but the PADDLES -1.5 (+162) are worth a roll of the dice for the more risk-taking bettor.

San Diego gets a chance to start the game against the Diamondbacks' shaky bullpen at +1.5 (-196), and could see another loss in the series finale.

About under

OVER 8.5 (-115) is the play that relies primarily on poor pitching from McGough and the fact that the Padres have scored 24 runs in the last two games and will now face the Diamondbacks for an extended period of time.

The over is 4-1 in the Diamondbacks' last 5 games and 7-2 in the previous 9 games. The Padres have reached the over in 3 of their last 4 home games.
