MILFORD, NH — Anna Elizabeth (Perrin) Leney, 82, a resident of Milford, NH and former reporter with the Lowell Sun, died Thursday, January 26, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, after a brief illness.

She was born on June 17, 1923, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Edward and Julia (Hurley) Perrin. She graduated from St. Mary's Girls High School in Lynn in 1940. She attended college in Canada.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Leney was a teacher at various schools. While in Dracut, she worked for many years as a local and regional reporter for the Lowell Sun.

She was interested in politics and world events throughout her life.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Leney spent many years traveling the world, but also enjoyed the quiet pleasures of gardening and was skilled at arts and crafts, which she lovingly made for her family.
