Obituary for Richard Bushnoe – MA

Richard “Rick” E. Bushnoe, formerly of Ayer, MA; 53 FLAGLER BEACH, FL – Richard “Rick” E. Bushnoe, 53, of Flagler Beach, FL, and formerly of Ayer, MA, died suddenly at his home on December 20.

He was born in Ayer, Massachusetts. He attended school in the Ayer school system. Rick graduated from high school in 1975. He was very athletic, especially in hockey and football.

Rick worked as a carpenter and ran his own business. In 1991, he moved to Rehoboth Beach, DE where he built homes in the King's Creek area. In 2001, Rick moved to Flagler Beach where he worked in home repair and improvement. Before his death, he worked at Eagles Nest Storage.

Rick was an avid sports fan and cheered for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Rick enjoyed golf and fishing. Rick volunteered for community projects in Flagler Beach. He was a member of First United in Ormond Beach.

Rick was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and Poppy. He was devoted to his family and a true friend to many.

Rick is survived by his mother, Marlene M. (Milot) Bushnoe of Flagler Beach, his sisters Debra and her husband Matt Powers of Chicopee, Massachusetts, Kim and her husband James Carney of Flagler Beach, his niece Marilyn and great-nephew Landon Bushnoe of Flagler Beach, his nephew Mark “Zeke” Bushnoe of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, and his nieces Mary and Anna Marquez of Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard J. Bushnoe Jr. and his brother Mark S. Bushnoe.

BUSHNOE — A memorial service and celebration will be held at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30 at First United Church, 336 S. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach, FL. Burial will be in July at North Cemetery in Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
