Addison Duttlinger, Reagan Stoudt, RayElle Brennan, Kodi Rizzo named to ICA All-State first team – Shaw Local

In a region rich in softball talent, it should come as no surprise that the Illinois Valley was well represented on the Illinois Coaches Association (ICA) 2024 All-State Teams list, announced over the weekend at the conclusion of the school season.

La Salle-Peru's Addison Duttlinger (C, sr.) was named to the ICA All-State Class 3A first team. Plano's Lindsey Cocks (IF, jr.) was named to the second team. Ottawa's Kendall Lowery (OF, sr.), Streator's Makenna Ondrey (P/OF, jr.) and LP's Ava Lambert (IF, sr.) were named to the 3A third team.

In Class 2A, St. Bede's Reagan Stoudt (P/IF, sr.) was selected to the All-State first team. Locals on the 2A second team included St. Bede's Ella Hermes (P/IF, sr.), Seneca duo Tessa Krull (P, so.) and Camryn Stecken (IF, so.), Sandwich duo Johanna Freeman (IF, sr.) and Brooklyn Marks (P/IF, jr.), and Bureau Valley duo Maddie Smith (P, jr.) and Lesleigh Maynard (IF, jr.). The 2A third team consists of Bureau Valley's Emily Wright (C, so.) and St. Bede's Bella Pinter (C/OF, sr.).

Two of the area's small-school standouts – RayElle Brennan (C/IF, Jr.) of Serena and Kodi Rizzo (P/OF, Sr.) of Newark – were named to the Class 1A ICA All-State first team, and numerous other players were selected to the second and third teams.

Players selected for the 1A Second Team included Kaitlyn Anderson (C, jr.) of Henry-Senachwine, Averi Jury (IF, jr.) and Megan Livingston (IF, sr.) of Dwight, Dani Peshia (C/IF, sr.) and Ryan Williams (IF. sr.) of Newark, Shae Simons (P, sr.) of Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell and Paisley Twait (C/IF, sr.) of Serena. Third-team honors went to Taylor Cuchra (P/IF, jr.) and Hunter Hopkins (IF, fr.) of Marquette Academy, Madi Ely (P, so.) of Dwight, Maddie Glade (P/IF, jr.) and Jenna Setchell (IF, jr.) of Serena, Lauren Harbison (P, jr.) of Henry-Senachwine, Dottie Wood (P/IF, jr.) of Newark and Addison Scherer (P/IF, fr.) of Earlville.
