College of Southern Idaho honored for commitment to student access and success

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) was recently recognized for its commitment to helping its students get off to a smooth start in college. The Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC) presented CSI with the Program of Excellence Award during its annual conference in May. The award, which CSI received for the Instant Enrollment events it regularly hosts on campus, is given to institutions that provide exemplary service to their students.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our student access and enrollment services teams, as well as all CSI staff, who are committed to supporting students in their transition to college,” said CSI President Dr. L. Dean Fisher of the award. “Instant Enrollment events are an important means of achieving this.”

At Instant Enrollment events, students have access to a one-stop shop where they can complete all the steps necessary to enroll in college. Students can apply, get advice on the courses they need to take, register for those courses, and get help completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) all in one place. Additional resources available at Instant Enrollment events include information about programs and student services, as well as prizes, including a $250 scholarship awarded at each event.

CSI will host its first Instant Enrollment Week June 10-14 on CSI's main campus. For more information about this award-winning event and dates for future Instant Enrollment events in Twin Falls, Jerome and Burley, visit
