JetBlue launches new nonstop flights between Florida and New York

ORLANDO, Florida. – Tickets are now on sale for a selection of JetBlue nonstop flights that will begin operating soon between Long Island and three Florida cities, including Orlando.

JetBlue announced Tuesday that it is strengthening “its role as New York's home airline” by offering direct flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Orlando International Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport starting in October.

To celebrate the announcement, single tickets on the new routes will be offered for $49 for a limited time when booked through JetBlue's website, the airline said.

The airline's announcement follows another in March that covered 16 routes that JetBlue planned to eliminate starting in June to reduce costs and delays. That list included the Orlando-Salt Lake City, Utah, route. That decision came just weeks after JetBlue and Spirit ended their $3.8 billion merger plan when the Biden administration's Justice Department filed suit against the two to stop them from merging, arguing the move would reduce competition and raise airfares.
