BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech was honored to welcome a high-level delegation from the U.S. Space Force’s Space Training and Readiness Command to campus.

Led by Major General Tim Sejba, the STARCOM group explored dynamic partnership opportunities with Florida Tech President John Nicklow and other campus leaders.

The group also toured key campus facilities, including the Olin Engineering Complex and the L3Harris Student Design Center, where they spoke with a student team that designed a mechanical sea pig, and finally the esports facility before gathering for a private meeting to conclude the visit.

“Florida Tech’s location in the heart of the Space Coast and the university’s long history in space and defense make it an ideal choice for STARCOM’s training and research initiatives,” Nicklow said.

“We look forward to leveraging our combined strengths and expertise to innovate and grow together.”
