Alabama Basketball hosts South Dakota State in December

The Alabama men’s basketball team has added another home game to its schedule.

According to a report from college basketball analyst Rocco Miller, the Crimson Tide will host the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Sunday, December 29th at Coleman Coliseum.

This will be the fourth meeting between Alabama and South Dakota State, with the previous three meetings all taking place in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide is 3-0 against SDSU and has played the Jackrabbits twice during the season. Nate Hafer' tenure as head coach. The last game was played on December 3rd and Alabama won on home soil 78-65.

Last season, SDSU finished 22-13 overall and 12-4 in the conference. The Jackrabbits faced three Power Six opponents (Kansas State, UCF and Iowa State) and lost to all three, including an 82-65 loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to the Cyclones.

With the addition of South Dakota State, the Tide's 2024-25 non-conference schedule is nearly complete. Alabama still needs to add two more games to have a full 13-game schedule.

November 20 – Illinois (Birmingham)
November 26 – against Houston (Las Vegas)
November 27 – against Notre Dame/Rutgers (Las Vegas)
November 29 – vs. TBD (Las Vegas)
December 4 – in North Carolina
December 14 – Creighton
December 18 – North Dakota
December 22 – Kent State
December 29 – South Dakota State
