Illinois State Police announce results of their alcohol enforcement patrol

PESOTUM – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 Commander Captain Brian Dickmann announces the results of the Alcohol Enforcement (ACE) patrols in Champaign County on June 8, 2024. These ACE patrols allowed the ISP to focus on the prevention, detection and enforcement of violations related to driving under the influence and
illegal transport or consumption of alcohol or drugs.

It is estimated that alcohol and drug use play a role in more than 47% of all fatal car crashes in Illinois. In the United States, an alcohol-related traffic fatality occurs every 39 minutes. The ACE program allows officers to work even harder to get dangerous DUI offenders off the road.
