Storms bring heavy rain and possible localized flooding on Saturday – NBC Boston

Attention! Saturday is the First Alert. We expect some rain and storms today, but the whole day will not be a washout.

A few thunderstorms could bring heavy rain and gusty winds, especially this morning and afternoon. Use caution when driving. Localized flooding is possible. There will be some breaks in the rain through the afternoon. However, a few thunderstorms are still possible later this evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Coos and Grafton counties in New Hampshire.

The warning expires at noon.

Otherwise, mostly cloudy skies are expected. It will be warm and humid with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees. The minimum temperatures will be just over 20 degrees.

Early showers are possible on the coast on Sunday, but most areas will remain dry and partly cloudy. It will be warmer, with highs of just under 30 degrees.

On Monday and Tuesday, maximum temperatures will be around 30 degrees. Due to the humidity, it will feel a little hotter.

From Wednesday and Thursday we expect isolated showers and thunderstorms again.

Beryl continues to be a major concern in the tropics. The storm weakened over the Yucatan Peninsula but will gain strength over the Gulf of Mexico this weekend before making landfall in southern Texas, most likely Sunday night.
