The University of Hawaii men's basketball team will host three four-day camps on the Manoa campus in June and August.

The camps take place at the SimpliFi Arena in the Stan Sheriff Center and Gym II.

“It’s a combination of learning and enjoyment,” said UH head coach Eran Ganot, noting that the campers will receive instruction from coaches and select players. “They will have the opportunity to play in our facilities. Some of the camp participants already know each other. By the end of camp they will all know each other. That’s really positive.”

Because camps sold out last year, UH is increasing the cap of 125 campers.

>> The camps for 6-17 year olds take place from June 10th to 13th and June 24th to 27th. For the age group of 6 to 13 years, the camp will take place from August 5th to 8th.

>> Each camp costs $275 per student.

>> Each student receives a t-shirt, a basketball and a photo. There are also daily prizes for competitions, exercises and leadership.

“We will be looking at some unconventional ideas to host different types of camps in the future,” Ganot said.
