Obituary for Richard Semon – FL

SEMON, RICHARD H. “BUBBA”, Bubba went home to be with our Lord September 13, 2007. He is a charter member of the Florida Sheriff's Boy's Ranch. A Shriner and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason. He retired in 1979 as president of the State Building Trades. He later founded the Metal Benders Club in Orlando, was elected president, and remained president until his death. He joined the Navy Seabee Veterans of America, was elected local commander and later state commander. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Central Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Frances Semon, one son, Richard Harris Semon II, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Winnie; four daughters, Martha Carol (Dave) Lang, Ballwin, MO, Patricia (Bob) Sheridan, Port Orange, FL, Priscilla (Glenn) Bailey, Orlando, FL and Susan (Randy) Morgan, Orlando, FL; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Glenn (Barbara) Shreveport, LA and David Michael, Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Sunday, September 16th from 2-6 p.m. at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd, Orlando FL, where a celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 17th, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W.
