Weather delay updates for Auburn Softball

Auburn softball will have to wait at least a few more hours to try to extend its season.

The Tigers were scheduled to play Chattanooga in their second game of the Tallahassee Regional on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT. However, due to inclement weather in the area, the game was postponed until approximately 6:30 p.m. CT. The first game of the day between Florida State and UCF has also been moved from noon CT to 4 p.m. CT.

Auburn opened its regional run on Friday with an 11-6 loss to UCF. The Tigers took a four-run lead through three innings, but two three-run home runs given up in the sixth inning allowed the Knights to come back. Another loss will end coach Mickey Dean's era with the Plains, as he announced in March his plans to step down at the end of the season. The plan is for him to take on a new role as special assistant to athletics director John Cohen.
