Police identify two victims of fatal motorcycle crash in Manchester

Brandon Grant and Jamie Van De Car of Dunbarton died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash on Elm Street. According to police, a car made a U-turn and hit them.

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester police have identified the man and woman who died in a motorcycle accident on Elm Street Friday night.

The motorcyclist and his passenger were identified as Brandon Grant, 34, and Jamie Van De Car, 38, both of Dunbarton. Van De Car was pronounced dead at the scene while Grant was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver of the 2021 Honda Accord, who police say made a U-turn in front of the motorcycle, has not been identified. According to police, it is a 43-year-old from Manchester.

Manchester Police, Fire Department and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to Elm Street in the area of ​​Pearl Street at 8:20 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle and people trapped under a vehicle.

Portions of Elm Street were closed for several hours as investigators from the Manchester Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team worked to document the crash.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support Brandon's family.
